Sakai Named for Asian Cup Member

JFA annouced final 23 member for the Asian Cup held in Qatar next month.
Gotoku Sakai is the only member called from Albirex despite Higshiguchi, Nishi, Nagata(now transfered to Urawa) were also named for pre 50 member.

The Asian Cup starts 7th January and they meet Jordan(9th Jan.), Syria(13th Jan.), Saudi Arabia(17th Jan.) in the first group league.

Cho Named for Korean International Candidate

Korea Football Association call Cho Young Coel for training camp of Korean international candidates.
The camp is scheduled from 13th to 25th Dec.. After it, KFA decide final 23 member for Asian Cup held next month.

Four Players named for Japan

JFA annouced 50 players for pre-reserve member for Asian Cup held in Qatar next month.
Nagata, Sakai, Nishi, Higashiguchi are named from Niigata.
Ex-albirex Fw Yano is also called.
Final 23 players are determined late this month.

Two Players Named for U-19

JFA annouced the squad of the Japan U-19 who participate in AFC U-19 held next month in China.
Gotoku Sakai and Masaru Kato are called for them from Albirex.
They join the training camp after the weekend match against Urawa.
If they progress to the semi fainal of the competition, they are qualified for next summer's U-20 World Cup held in Colombia.

Here are the result of Sendai Cup Gotoku Sakai participated in as a U19 Japan international.
Sakai played all three match and scored one goal against France.

Nagata Japan Debuit

Mitsuru Nagata made first appearance for Japan.
The Niigata's defender came from the bench just after the half time.
He played central defending role same as Niigata and contributed to the 2-1 victory over Guatemala.

Nagata not Starred

Mitsuru Nagata didn't have a chance to play for Japan in a yesterday's 1-0 victory over Paraguay.
Japan will play against Guatemala on Tuesday night.

Japan Call Up Nagata

JFA announced they replace injured Tulio with Nigata's Nagata for the naltional team who face Paraguay on this Saturday and Guatemala on Tuesday.
This is the second time for the Niiagata's centre back to be called up for Japan.
This call-up means the defender don't play emperor's cup 2nd round held on this Sunday.

Yano Not Play Against Holland

Japan 0-1 Netherland
Yano didn't have chance to play in the second game of the group league aginst Netherland as Japan was sunk by Dutch NO.10 Sneijder's superb middle shot.They coundn't create situation that Yano would play by leading or holding the favorites until the closing stage of the game.

According to the result,Japan could progress into the next knockout round with win or draw against Denmark.

Yano Star in World Cup

Yano became the first Albirex player who plays World Cup. The 185 cm striker came from the bench in 79 minutes of the Japan's opening games of the competition against Cameroon.He contributed Japan's 1-0 victory to play the role of defending from the front.
