Okada recall Yano

Kisho Yano is recalled for Japan international team, which is for the first time since last June.

Japan wiil have a friendly match against Serbia next Wednesday.

 Okada doesn't call players who belong to European clubs this time.

Yano Re-named for Japan

JFA announced Japan's squad for the crucial world cup qualifier aginst Bahrain next weekend.
Niigata's Yano is called for the first time since in nine months.

Yano:
"I'm pleased to be named for Japan. I will devote myself to the team's victory over the crucial match."

Okada, head coach of Japan.:
"I don't think Yano is not a new comer for the team because he understands the team's tactics. Why I select Yano is that he is the man who can cut into the box when we need to attack on risk. I know there is time he have to defence rather than make use of his height at forefront. Even in such circumstances, he can attack.His current performance is also a reason."

"I compared Maki(JEF CHIBA) to Yano. Considering their current condition, I prefer Yano at the moment."

Yano and Chiba named for Japan.

Yano is selected for Japan senior team taking part in the East Asian tournament held in China while Chiba join training camp in the U.S. as a member of U-23 Japan team

Yano has big chance to impress Japan coach Okada because three Okada's favorite FWs doesn't participate in the squad(Takahara prior to the club, Okubo Injured, Maki Injured).

On the other hand Kazuhiko Chiba also has to appeal himself more to Sorimachi becuase he hasn't got regular position, not even regular call from the former Niigata boss.

Both player have already left the Guam camp.

However Yano can be a member for Asian qualififer next Wednesday's world cup qualififer against Thailand if Takahara and Maki have serious injury as both starters were substituted due to injury.

Yano played for final ten minutes of the game. However the 185 cm striker couldn't so much as have a shot but got a yellow card due to the tackle with his sole out.

Sorimachi Japan Go Through

The former manager Sorimachi led his U-22 Japan to Olympic games held in Beijin next year.The national team held Saudi Arabia 0-0 in the final game of group league of the final qualififer and took a point enought to keep them a first place in the table, which secure their fourth successive participation in the Olympics.

"We were leveled from coner kick just after I came in. As the swiss player who I marked got the goal I really think I would like to score. To tell the truth, I feel relieved to score rather than pleased. In scoring I could keep balance and expected deflection of Kengo's shot. In the last match agaist Austria, I couldn't pick up loose ball. I am really pleased with goal scene.
However my goal is mere a goal and just my first goal. To keep scoring is necessary. When I came in, I thought we would be frustrated if we could not win although we played well today's match.
I thought to win the competition was good thing."

Yano's stoppage time winner for Japan

Kisho Yano made winner at the last minute of the tri-continent competition match agaist switzerland. This is his first goal for Japan in the 7th appearance. The 23 year- old striker came from the bench in 80 minete as a substitute for Maki who also scored one goal and push the deflected ball from Kengo Nakamura's shot into the net in the stoppage time. The game is that Japn came back from 0-2 behind in the first half when Swiss dominated the game. In 2nd half Japan looked completely different team and scored 3 succesive goals including two Nakamura's PK and Maki's header from set piece. Just a minute after Yano's entering to the ground, Alps team equalised the game by CK, which followed by Yano's superb winner.
This result made Japan win the competition.

Kawahara and Tanaka named for U-20 World Cup

Kawahara and Tanaka named for U-20 World Cup
JFA announced Japan's squad for U-20 would cup held in Canada starting June 30th.
Albirex duo are expected to play startig roles seeing from recent U-20 games.
They are called from June 24th, so they can play for Niigata till the game against JEF
