Higashiguchi for Japan, Suzuki and Sakai for U-22

Masaaki Higashiguchi is called for Japan internationl team who meet South Korea international at Sapporo next Wednesday night. Higashiguchi has particiapated in Japan's three day training camp held by yesterday.

On the other hand, Daisuke Suzuki who also joined the camp is named for Japan's U-22 side who play with Egypt in the previous match in the same day of the senior team as well as Gotoku Sakai.

All the three players leave the club for the matches between 8th to 10th August.

Also, Cho Young Cheol is called for South Korea in the match.

Young Cheol Called for South Korea

Albirex winger Cho Young Cheol is called for South Korea senior team who meet Japan at Sapporo in 10th August.The No.9 is called as defender again.

At the press conference, The South Koera Head Coach Cho Kwang Rae answerd to the question why he gives Yound Cheol a defender role, "I appreciate his attacking highly to select him." And Also said "He can do substitue of Cha Du-Ri" citing the ex-south Korea international who was converted from attacking winger to side back.

The calling period is from 8th to 11th August. It has no effect on his playing league games.

Cho Young Cheol called for South Korea U-22

Cho Young Cheol is named in the U-22 Korean international squad for Olympic qualifiers against Jordan that Korean football association annouced today.
The 22 year old has been sidelined since early May due to hamstring problem and he is said to come back to tomorrow's league match against Hiroshima.

He joins Korian team in 16th June and face Jordan in 19th(home) and 23th(away).
It is uncertain for him to play a league game against Nagoya in 15th.

Suzuki and Sakai named for U-22 Japan

JFA annouced U-22 Japan squad for coming qualifiers to London Olympic next year.
Daisuke Suzuki and Gotoku Sakai is selected from Albirex Niiata although injuries forced both of them withdraw from last U-22 camp including friendly match against Austlalia. U-22 Japan face Kuwait at home and away. The winner progress final qualifying round starting in September.
This call hold them from 13 to 25 June, which mean they can't play four league games against Nagoya(15th), Sendai(18th), Yokohama(22th), C.Osaka(25th).
During their absence, Suzuki will be replaced with Ishikawa or Ono and Gotoku will be replaced with Hasebe or Ishikawa.

Higashiguchi "I have to appeal more"

Albirex GK Masaaki Higashiguchi couldn't play for Japan in two matches of Kirin Cup.
Higashiguchi said,
"I'm not good enough to get regular position yet. I have to keep appealing."
However he found his ability of kick accuracy accepted in the traning camp.
"My feature is  as good as two other GKs Kawashima and Nishikawa."

Sakai Gives Up Japan

Gotoku Sakai decided to leave U-22 Japan camp due to hamstring trouble of his right leg which he had suffered since last week. The trouble prevented him play U-22 international friendly match held in Niigata last week.
Daisuke suzuki had also withdrawn from the U-22 with left calf injuly. Two of albirex U-22 players will not be called for London Olympic qualifier against Kuwait fortnight later.

Two Youth Players To U-17 World Cup

JFA annouced the squad for FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Mexico.Fumiya Hayakawa and Naoki Kawaguchi is named from Albirex youth team. Hayakawa plays MF for Albirex but is registered as DF for Japan. Hayakawa is registered to the top team as well.
U-17 World Cup is held during 18 June to 10 July. Japan will face Jamaica(18 June), France(21) and Argentina(24) in the group stage.

JFA annouced to hold charity match for victims of Tohoku-Kanto earthquake in 29 March replacing friendly match against Montenegro and New zealand due to effect of the massive disater. Japan international meet J league select team in it. Albirex GK Higashiguchi got the first call for Japan. J league select team is named "J league TEAM AS ONE" and its member will be annouced next Tuesday.

Cho Got Korean Call

Korean Football Association named their international squad. Niigata's Cho Young Cheol is included in it. The Asian tigers face Honduras and Montenegro in the friendly Match late this month(25th and 29th).

Cho told to Club's web site as follows.
"I'm pleased with the call becasue my eargerness for the Korean internatiol got stronger as I didn't be selected for the Asian Cup member. I can't appeal in the league games(canceled due to Tohoku earth quake) now but I'm ready for the games with the league opener and training. I would like to appeal to get continued call with strong heart as a J league player."
