At his youth age, he had played for Sappooro's youth team and had led to win J youth Cup in 2012 as a captain.
In 2013 he had promoted to Sapporo top team and played professinally for three years including one year loan spell in J3 side Fukushima.
In 2016, Sapporo won J2 league championship to promote themselves J1 in 2017 season but Horigome decided to leave Sapporo in which he had played since elementaly school days for Niigata because he thought it nessessary to challenge new circumstances.

In 2014 he was loaned to J2 side(at that time, now J3) Tochigi SC for seeking the playing opportunities which he gradually lost in Niigata and after the season he decided a permanent move to Tochigi. After playing there for 2 and half season he rejoined the Niigta on a permanent deal in 2017. He plays and supports the team as a vice captain.
