Thanks to Marcio's two goals and Michel's goal, Niigata beat relegating Shonan by 3-1.

Niigata attack Shonan from the stat and scored two goals by 4 minutes.
2 minites from kickoff, Marcio made opener by a long range FK. Maybe The Brazillian centered from the right but the ball rode on following wind and took a hook in front of the keeper into teh far net.
Two minutes later, Michel doubled their lead. Marcio kept the ball in the penalty area after Homma's side change pass and set up the Michel's cool finish by passing him who dashed into the area.

After the early goals, Niigata dominated and kept attacking the away team. However Niigata couldn't made final blow for Shonan.
Shonan came back to life in the secone half. The game saw both teams go back and forth at each other.

The next goal was made for the away team. In 61 minutes, the 17 year old Endo headed Yamaguchi's cross ball from the right into far net.
From the recent Niigata's form, the stadium had an bad feelings.

But Marcio's second goal blow such atmosphere and gave the team the fist victory in the 6 games.
Marcio fired home from the center of penalty area after Atom headed the Mikado's cross from right down to the No.10.

Niigata finally rose to 9th place by Urawa's defeat.
