Edmilson who had been suspended for last two games helped second away victory over Iwata with his two goals and one assist. In 3 minutes, Albirex made perfect start with Edmilson's opener which Marcio assisted by cross ball from the right after his corner was initially denied. However Niigata couldn't get pressure against home-dide and conceded two goals. In 17 minutes Fablicio blasted leveller easily after Iwata showed good conbination among sevral players in left side. The 19th minutes later, Iwata took lead with Kaga's free header from the corner kick, which reminds the team last season's 0-7 heavy defeat.However Niigata showed hard works like theirselves after the break. In 52 minute, Kisyo Yano equalised the game. Edmilson dribbled down the right and passed to the Japan international. His first touch was a little big, which forced him difficult angle to shot. However his
shot went through legs of Iwata and Japan international GK Kawaguch. After that, the game became 50-50. both teams creat chances. In 73 minute, Marcio showed superb FK from the left to give the team re-advantage. 10 minutes from the time, Edmilson fired the 4th with well-conbined counter attack with Sakamoto. In the final stage of the game, Iwata looked too exhausted to attack.
